Yesterday was awesome! I hope the pictures turn out well. I tend to make funny faces sometimes. It's a terrible habit I hope I was able to control.

So I got my nails done on Monday. That was awful. I'm super ticklish and the pedicure was NOT relaxing. Plus I have the worst alligator feet EVER. Mumsie banned me from posting a pic on the interweb but just trust me on this one. By the time it was over the nail tech and I were both exhausted. The manicure was much better. My hands still need a lot of work though. Such is life.

My morning started out with my hair appointment. I love love love my hair. The salon is going to do us girls up for the wedding so SCORE! I did get to try on some clip on hair extensions which was way cool. Then it was on the MAC counter at Macy's to get my face did.

Mad props to Michelle at MAC who did such an amazing job on my makeup!  

What to do with Engagement Pictures

Ha! I don't even have them yet. I have some tentative dates picked but it's totally dependent on whether or not we can get approval to take pictures in the school building. The backup plan is the park. In any event it occurred to me that I better figure out what to do with these (hopefully) gorgeous images.

Engage! – Part 2

While I am starting to like the idea of the transit museum more and more I’m kinda leaning away from having to pay admission for 4 people just to take some pictures. Now I’m not really a nature-y type of gal but the park is free and is pretty much open all the time (well except 1am- 5am). There are some good locations worthy of a camera lens. Truthfully, admission isn’t really that much but ever since Miss Cinnamon Bun posted this:

The mister and I have been throwing around ideas for our engagement shoot. Poor Mr. H could not fathom the import of an engagement shoot but he’s sweet and lets me persist in my madness.

You can't have a Do without a Don't. So here's what I'd rather not see, if you please.

 The Blow-off? Yeah? No. Not advised. Ms. McCord might be working this look but it has the potential of looking very silly. Don't try this at home or at my wedding folks.

You Look Mah-vah-lous! -- Red Carpet Poses

Previously on Hearts & Whimsy some crazy girl hijacked my blog to talk about red carpets. Well that crazy girl is back. At some point this very same post I’m about to post will make its way on to my wedding website. 

There’s a level of formality and fabulousity I’d like on display at the wedding. To that end here dear future guests are tips on looking fierce (oh snap!) on the purple carpet.

Oh the People We’ll Meet – Hello Potential Wedding Photographer

While I happen to be completely indecisive, once I’ve got a system in place I make decisions pretty quickly. List of questions to ask? Check. Meetings scheduled? Check.  This, this month of June, was decision making time.  Now, I do have a bit of a problem though. I like everyone. (There will be a contradiction to this statement, no doubt in the very near future.) After each meeting I found my trusty wedding notebook and wrote down a pro & con list. The cons aren’t necessarily negatives, they’re just things I happened to be concerned about. I met with four photographers and here are my “reviews”.
