So what goes on a wedding website? That's a good question. Here's what mine looks like.

Addressing the Group

Way back in April I sent out my save the dates as a way to start collecting addresses from our guests. I'll update you on the process and our progress. Some guests have informed us that they are unable to attend (which is good to know earlier rather than later) but I still want their address so I can send them an invite. Recently I sent out a little more encouragement via email.
It went like this:

Save the Date Update
| random pic |
You may have heard that my save the dates pulled double duty as my way of collecting people’s mailing addresses. Let me update you on how that all went down and my progress so far.
I used wedding wire’s address collecting tool which is pretty simple. It does most of the work for you. You can either choose to enter your guests info directly on the WW website or upload it from an excel spreadsheet or from your email contacts. I chose to go the excel route. WW provides you with a template that you can use to input your info. It looks like this:
The headers are first name last name for up to 5 guests per household. This is followed by a household header where you input the last name of the household. Don’t worry about repeating household names. It doesn’t get confused. The rest of the columns are really optional but fun if you like sorting people by groom’s side or bride’s side.

Wedding Wire
True to form I’ve had my Wedding Wire account for some time. My countdown is still a big number but it’s now less than 365. With that comes another milestone. I’ve finally caught up with their checklist. It’s December and it says I have 2 upcoming tasks!! I’ve been checking things off for awhile now but the checklist didn’t officially get going until December 2010. Part of me is excited and another part of me now feels like I’m behind. Typical.
All this time I thought I was ahead I still have 95 tasks left!
What's left to be done? Everything!
Plus I plan on taking a holiday hiatus. Should I be nervous?

I Feel...Inspired
After perusing many a wedding blog I decided I’d give it a shot, the seemingly ubiquitous inspiration board. No doubt, if you’re planning a wedding or special event, you’ve skulked across the web downloading random images. These random images spoke to you on some level. So what do you do with all of these images? You make an inspiration board of course. It’s really not that difficult. You might remember it from elementary school when they called it a collage. Without further ado, Ladies and Gents, I present to you that which inspires me.
