I was a little taken aback by the response email. Maybe I was a bit overly sensitive but I kinda felt like there was a bit of attitude in his responses. I know it's email and sometimes without the in person context things get muddled but this just didn't feel right.

I mentioned before that we have a new catering director. I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself to him. What follows are excerpts from our email conversations. I made some edits as to not give away some major surprises for the big day.

Wedding Pie

I have a bit of an obsession. I’ve wanted a wedding pie long before pies became hip and trendy across the wedding blogosphere. Long before I even booked a venue I’ve extolled the merits of pie over cake. I’ve been dreaming of the delectable deliciousness of a wedding pie for many a year.  I mean cake is fine. You know, if you like that sort of thing but nothing beats a pie.
