I'll Drink to That Again

Mock-up of the bottles w/tags

The other part of this is what goes in my sweet beauties. I like a little mystery. Primarily the bottles will function as decor on the tables and speak to the theme but some of our guests are an inquisitive sort, motivated by curiosity and a sense of adventure. They should be rewarded with a tasty concoction, don't you think?

<<<<<>>>>>>
Mumsie had some great ideas for the mystery libation. All three ideas pay homage to our West Indian heritage. (vincy massive, bup, bup!!!)

Idea #1: Sorrel

I'm not a big fan of sorrel. It's a Jamaican thing. Some of my guests however do like the drink and would be pleasantly surprised at it's inclusion.

Idea # 2: Ginger Beer

Not a big fan of this one either. But it's not about me, it's about my guests and a bunch of people really like the stuff.

Idea #3: Rum Punch

I love me some rum punch! Deee-lish! The bottles only hold half an ounce so nobody is going to get drunk off these.

Mumsie is going to make all three. The trick is these drinks aren't inherently purple.

Ah, but that's what food coloring is for!

I'm also not going to label the bottles to say which is which. It's so much more interesting that way. I'll make sure that non-alcoholic versions are in the vicinity of the children though. And for those paying attention the different variations in color will be a hint as to what's in the bottle.

I'm a little over the moon about this one.

Thoughts?

  4. I love that there will be different types in different bottles.. I would maybe make sure to put an "A" or something on the alcoholic ones, just to be safe! You never know what kids like to get into :)
