Engage!

The mister and I have been throwing around ideas for our engagement shoot. Poor Mr. H could not fathom the import of an engagement shoot but he’s sweet and lets me persist in my madness.

Mr. H: So what do I have to wear for this? Are you going to be traipsing around in your dress?

Me: You can wear a nice pink or purple polo. You don’t have to get all dressed up. You just need to look nice. And no I’m not wearing my wedding dress.

Mr. H: Well I don’t get it. What are these pictures for?

Me:  Umm… some people use them for the save the dates, like on a magnet or a card. We’re not sending save the dates though. I guess you could use them to make a picture album for the guestbook. I’m not really going to have a “guestbook” either. Maybe decorate the guest table with them? Oh, you go could do tons of things I suppose.

Mr. H: So they’re really not that important then.

Me: Yeah, I guess you’re right.  It’s just a nice thing to do.

Mr. H: ok

Such a doll. On to the pictures.

@steph c - Thanks for the railroad suggestion. I went googling and found some cool pics.

This then led me to think about the Transit Museum as a possible cool location.

Down by the water and the cobblestones and that BRIDGE!

I'm still quite fond of something school themed but I could see my way to liking other things.

Thoughts?

  1. Well of course as you live in NY I'd do some fabulous ones out and about. I love the last three that you've shown. p.s. we got engaged at the Rockefeller centre on 30th Dec 2009!

  3. Ohh the Transit Museum! Love it!!! And you must do bridge photos. So amazingly pretty.

Btw.. fiancé was the same way about the pictures. He did them, of course, but not without some whining first ;)
